Tours of Mission Garden
Private, family or small group tours
are about 60 minutes long.
*Tours are $10/person. Please pay at the gift shop before the tour.
Call us at (520) 955-5200 or e-mail us at info@missiongarden.org to schedule a tour any time we're open Wed-Sat with start times from 8:30am-1pm (October through March), and 8am-11am (April-September).
Garden Explorers & Bookworm Path

At the Farmers Market
Every Thursday afternoon, 4:00pm-7:00pm in the warm months and 3:00pm-6:00pm in the cool months.

We sell seasonal produce at the Santa Cruz Farmers Market every Thursday afternoon. The market is at 221 South Avenida del Convento, on Tucson's West Side, near the Mercado San Agustin and the Mercado San Agustin Annex. The market runs from 4:00pm to 7:00pm (in the cool months, 3:00pm to 6:00pm). Look for us there!
Monthly Bird Walk
Every Second Thursday from 8:00am - 9:30am

Traditional O’odham Agriculture
Every Third Saturday 8:00am-12:00pm

Mission Garden, in collaboration with Ajo Center for Sustainable Agriculture (Ajo CSA), announces monthly presentations on O'odham agriculture. Every third Saturday of the month, Mission Garden's Maegan Lopez and Ajo CSA's Sterling Johnson will be in the O'odham Garden to demonstrate traditional O'odham agricultural practices and answer questions. By attending this event every month you will get the full sweep of seasonal agricultural practices. See details on our Special Events page.
Archaeology Day
Every Fourth Saturday* 8:00am-1:00pm

Each month there will be a different demonstration, focused on learning how ancient technologies like atl-atls, arrowheads, and ground stone were made and used. The event is ideal for children and is led by representatives from Archaeology Southwest and Old Pueblo Archaeology. Allen Denoyer, an expert preservation archaeologist with Archaeology Southwest, does their "Hands-on Archaeology" presentation and Sherry Eisler from Old Pueblo Archaeology also presents activities that you can actually participate in, highlighting ancient skills and reproduction of items found in archaeology sites.
