This July, we are celebrating cowpeas! These include black-eyed peas, u’us mu:ñ (stick beans), frijol reatas, and Chinese long beans. Cowpeas are drought and heat tolerant, nitrogen-fixing, and disease and pest resistant. Learn more about this easy-to-grow crop with connections to many cultures in our region!
